How to become a master diver in the United States Navy

A master diver in the United States Navy is the highest level of warfare qualification a person can achieve in the diving industry. Enlisted persons have the greatest depth of knowledge, experience and training regarding all aspects and salvage. At least 15 years' experience is required to become a master diver. You also need to have taken a specialization class. In the United States Navy, you can earn your master diver status by taking a specialization course.

PADI Master Scuba Diver

PADI Master Scuba Diver is an international certification that recognizes your scuba diving skills. The program can be offered by several North American training agencies like the National Association of Underwater Instructors or the Professional Association of Diving Instructors. This is the most advanced level of diving certification. The course requires that you dive at least 30 feet below water.

NAUI Master Scuba Diver

A NAUI Master Scuba Diver course may be the right choice for you if you are ready to progress to a higher level in scuba diving. The course is designed for divers who want to organize dives. You will learn how to use a compass, perform underwater communications, and recognize pre-panic signs. You'll also learn how to lead a dive in a new location. This course includes a classroom session and two open-water dives.


NAUI Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver

It is a great way for you to increase your diving experience by taking the NAUI EnrichedAir (NITX). Master Diver course. The course covers many aspects related to enriched air diving, such as how to mix Nitrox or oxygen. Students will learn how to analyze the breathing mixture, the physiology of oxygen and nitrogen, and the hazards of handling both gases. They will also learn about Equivalent Air Depth, common gas mixing techniques, and the concept of Equivalent air depth. You can take the enriched-air course as an extension to your open water diver certification. This is required in order to be able use the enriched mix.

NAUI Rescue Scuba Diver

The courses required to become a NAUI Rescue Scuba Diver Master Diver Instructor are necessary in order to realize your dream. This certification is a prerequisite in the NAUI FIT program, which will prepare you to be a professional NAUI Instructor/Leader. You can start by enrolling in the Try Scuba Program. This program is designed to give you the knowledge and skills necessary to safely dive into open water.

NAUI First Aid Course

A NAUI First Aid course for master divers will prepare you to respond to a variety of emergencies that can arise in the water. The course includes refresher sessions as well as valuable information about new First Aid standards, training best practices, and other useful information. NAUI First Aid will equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to rapidly respond to an immediate emergency. It is hands-on and allows you to apply the skills you have learned in the classroom.
